Position SummaryThis position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and will be performing repetitive operations of various machines to mass produce items such as brake components and related parts needed to assemble verious sizes of brakes.
More specifically, this position will be responsible for activities including, but not limited to the following:
Repetitively moving parts between containers to machine or workstation for processing and back to container Operating machines such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, riveting machines, and projection welders to perform force fitting or fastening operations on sub-assembly lines Rotating between different machines and workstations as production needs require Bonding brake shoes Attaching brackets or shave, to backing plates, shoes and arms Operating grinder Working on magnet line to produce magnets for brakesRequirements High school diploma or equivalency preferred, but not required Prior manufacturing experience preferred, but not required Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and other simple documents.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and looks for ways to promote quality.
Observes safety procedures.
Maintains good attendance.
Hand tool experience is a plus - brackets, shoes, brake lining, nuts and bolts, calipers, bonding agent, totes, dolly, metal bins and stainless steel bands, hammer, pliers, wire, bushings, and lift tables.
